Hello!my birthday is on march 14 and i 'm going to have a 17th birthday party. i haven 't had a party since i was 6 going on 7.. i really want to make this one special since i couldn 't have my 15 's (i 'm puerto rican) and it was very important to me, or my 16 's because of financial difficulties.anyway, my theme is going to be a tim burton styled alice in wonderland..so it 's 'dark and mysterious. ' i don 't really want vibrant colors like red, for example. colors like black, blue, purple, etc is all fine.. if anyone has seen the tim burton version of the movie for example, think of that for dark and mysterious.i 'm really stuck on ideas..and i need links to sites that i can order party decorations/ supplies from..if anyone could help, even the slightest, i would be very grateful! thank you all so much!to the first answer: i didn 't need that kind of sarcasm, really. to her and all: i don 't like red, that 's why i don 't exactly want it as my colors..if it 's not possible because of party decorations, that 's fine too. but i would like to stick with the dark and mysterious theme. I always felt that she was always misunderstood. i don 't think she deserved banishment with someone who wanted her dead. her parents had passed over her for her sister, even though, by all rights, she should have been queen. and, it was probably because her head was too big. so, of course she became angry and bitter, and never learned to understand the concept of love over fear. she was probably teased a lot as a child. i also doubtthat she knew much about ruling. they would have taught her sister that. all that she would have known was that you chop off the heads of traitors (her definition was a bit skewed), and get whatever you want. that village was burned, i remember, but i hardly doubt that she was there, and understood just how bad it was. i wouldn 't have been surprised if it wasn 't even her idea, though it could well have been. i think that the red queen is a tragic character, who wasn 't raised with the love and attention that she needed.do you concur or dissent? and why? Alice In Wonderland 15th Birthday Party- Help?
I 'm turning 15 in a month and my sister turns 13 three days after me. she stole my original idea of a california girls themed sleepover party (her birthday party is before mine this year) so i had to come up with a new one, and i want an alice in wonderland theme! i was thinking about have a two-layer, crooked mad hatter cake, with a teacup made from modeling chocolate on top with fake tea spilling out. i am a very good artist and i can sculpt, so that will be easy. the setup will be a fancy tea party, classier than the crazy mad hatter thing, lol! the cake will also be in more alice-like shades of powder blue, white, and edible fake gold dust. i 'm thinking that party favors will be french macarons with "eat me " piping on them, and maybe some tiny plastic corked bottles with "drink me " tags, filled with grape juice :)what should i serve as the main dish? not too heavy, but not too light! and it can 't be too expensive either. i 'd prefer not to serve pizza, it wouldn 't fit the theme, lol! any other ideas? thanks!
